Daily horoscopes: May 1, 2017

ARIES.

Dot all i’s and cross all t’s before proceeding because willpower won’t do it this time.  Do things by the book and you’ll finish it.

TAURUS.

A short cut winds up falling short of your goal.  Next time you do this (and you will) go through the proper channels.

No sooner do you receive a lump sum than you wind up paying it out to someone else.  It may feel like a zero sum gain but paying down debts puts you ahead.

CANCER.

(June 21 – July 21):

Don’t make any claims that you can’t back up while the Moon is opposite Pluto because the other party will check up on everything you say.  And then some.

LEO.

(July 22 – Aug. 22):

Don’t worry if a project or venture stalls.  Another element is being added and you need to allow time for this new development to unfold.

VIRGO.

It’s hard to stop short of a complete emotional rescue, but your loved one or friend will appreciate you believing that he can do the rest on his own.

LIBRA.

Drastic measures aren’t necessary.  A reshuffling of the pieces in place provides the solution you’re looking for.

SCORPIO.

A customer or client increases the pressure, but you’re in the stronger position.  Don’t yield the field when you don’t have to.

SAGITTARIUS.

(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):

Sometimes it’s not who you know, but how you drop the name.  Do it with aplomb and you’ll be the bomb.

CAPRICORN.

Don’t be too quick to write off a potential client.  This person may sound ditzy, but s/he still brings something valuable to the table.

AQUARIUS.

You’ve been through weeks of fret and worry so you’ll be delighted to see a certain matter resolved promptly and with minimum fuss.  Let this be a lesson to you in the future to stress less.

PISCES.

(Feb. 18 – March 19):

A vote of confidence comes in the form of a raise or promotion.  It may be more ceremonial than substantial, but it’s flattering nonetheless.
