Should his past determine your relationship’s future?

As you probably know, I’m way into the Bachelorette! I’m convinced Rachel is going to be the best Bachelorette of all time. I love her confidence, drive and suffer-no-fools attitude. Plus, I really like her age. She’s the oldest Bachelorette the series has ever had on and I’m so supportive of that. 31 is a fantastic age to meet the person you’re going to spend your life with. Much better than 24, in my opinion. And her race is a welcome change because #BacheloretteSoWhite. In the latest episode, one of Rachel’s suitors, DeMario, had an ex-girlfriend (or ex-friends-with-benefits…kinda unclear) come onto the show and reveal that he never truly ended things with her. 3 Ways to change the dynamic when your husband acts like one of the kids

It’s an old adage that a man will eventually treat his wife the same way he treats his mother. So, according to that wisdom, you should look for a man who treats his mom well. I’m not saying that I 100% ascribe to that theory, but a man who’s respectful of his mother is always a good thing. A man who treats you like his mother is way less of a good thing. If you think you’re about to or actually are getting ghosted, here’s what to do. Read more

What to do if you don’t like sports, but he loves ’em

One of my best girlfriends started dating a guy who’s crazy about sports. Like full on obsessed. He actually has two TVs set up in his living room so he can watch two games at once. It’s intense. At first, she didn’t think anything of his sports addiction. But, she doesn’t care for sports and slowly, but surely, sports have become a hot button issue in their relationship. She gets angry that he spends so much time on something that seems trivial to her and he wishes that she cared more about them. Read more

What to do if he’s a procrastinator

Nail biting, online shopping, social media refreshing, singing along to any and every Taylor Swift song at my lungs’ full capacity. We all have bad habits that we’re working on. I’m such a get-er-done person that procrastination makes no sense to me. Read more
