Embracing Your Age

womanin50sHello my beautiful ladies!

I have a little bone to pick with you all today.

You see, I get a ton of emails from women that lead like this…

“David, I’m a 49 year old woman (but people think I’m 35 and I never correct them!)”

Why do you lead with that?

What you’re really telling me is you don’t like being the age you are. Think about it. It doesn’t matter how old you are. It doesn’t matter how old other people think you are. When you tell me other people think you’re younger, you’re telling me you care too much about what other people think.

It’s as if it consumes you. I never lead with my age. I don’t really care what people think. My age is my age and there’s nothing I can do about it. Many of us look young for our age. That’s not important. What’s important is how we feel on the inside. What’s important is how we feel as people.

I’d like you to start embracing your age, because with age comes wisdom. The one thing I’ve learned in life is we’re never going to get any younger.

Sure, if you want you can change things and become obsessed with our looks like celebrities. You can have botox, liposuction, and reconstruction. But in reality, every day we’re aging. There’s going to be different people attracted to us at all different stages of our life.

That’s something we need to embrace. I tell male clients in their 50’s all the time it’s time to embrace their age, and to stop chasing young women. It’s time they start looking at the beautiful women of around their own age who look so much younger!

It’s time we just allow ourselves to age gracefully. Some of us look better than others. Some of us feel better. Some of us are healthier, but in the end, we’re the age we’re meant to be. Wear your birthday hat with pride!

You really need to think about this, and be OK with it, because there’s nothing you can do to change it!

If you’re worried your age is turning men off, then I also suggest you read this blog on my site… “Are You Paranoid About Your Age?
