Breaking up can be extremely difficult and become a crippling part of our lives. But there comes a time to move on and mend that broken heart. You may miss your ex and the relationship you guys shared and although it may seem hard, it is possible to move on.
Here are some tips on how to progress through the breakup and really dump that ex for good.
Be nice to others and others shall be nice to you. Giving back or expressing an act of kindness can help lift your heavy-hearted self to a positive and loving person. “Rechannel” your love and empower yourself by opening your heart and giving to others.
Delete Them Off Social Media
Nothing good comes from being their friend or following them on social media. To move on you need to focus on yourself, not consuming your time with figuring out what they are doing. It is extremely tempting to shoot them a text or check their Instagram for daily posts. Click UNFOLLOW and if the texting temptation is too strong, change their number to your best friends.
Show NO Mercy
Tweeting or telling them how upset you are they let you down again, doesn’t do anything but show them you’re in a vulnerable place. Although you may be hurt and extremely upset, take the high road. Don’t tweet or Facebook a single depressing thing that may indicate turmoil in your life. Surround yourself with the things you love, be positive and make sure to remind yourself of all the great things you have in your life. Don’t let them absorb your every post and thought. Positivity is contagious so surround yourself with all things positive, mainly optimistic people.
Go run, walk and lift it out of your system. Sweat that heartbreak/heartache out. Once you get those endorphins pumping, you won’t be able to remember their name. Instead of cuddling up on the couch to cry and eat chocolate, get up and moving. It is an essential part of the healing process. It is a healthy distraction and can help lower your stress levels and assist in mending your heart faster!
