Daily horoscopes: August 4, 2015

ARIES.

(March 20 – April 19):

You’re entering an intriguing period at work. Someone’s abrupt departure (or vacation) shows you taking over the reins of authority temporarily.

TAURUS.

(April 20 – May 20):

Unforeseen complications enter the fray with retrograde Venus conjunct Jupiter. Should you quit while you’re ahead? Maybe. But it’s still worth the gamble if you feel daring.

GEMINI.

(May 21 – June 20):

You suspected an offer was dubious and are relieved that it unraveled. You can also see that you were settling for less than you’re worth.

CANCER.

(June 21 – July 21):

You’re trying to get more from someone who simply can’t give it. Settle for what you have. It’s better than nothing.

LEO.

(July 22 – Aug. 22):

Actions have consequences – even positive ones. They may not seem important in the afterglow, but stay alert. You don’t want a rude awakening.

VIRGO.

(Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):

Others make huge decisions. You trust in the cumulative effect of small adjustments. Stick with your modus operandi. It’s worked so far.

LIBRA.

(Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):

Some people get you and some don’t. Stop wasting time trying to win over the doubting Thomases. They were never in your corner to begin with.

SCORPIO.

(Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):

Don’t get so fixated on consistency that you miss out on what’s being offered. You have a chance to have your cake and eat it too. Dig in.

SAGITTARIUS.

(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):

Don’t get stuck in either/or binds. Look for where contradictions dovetail. This gives you much needed wiggle room.

CAPRICORN.

(Dec. 21 – Jan. 19):

Think big and bold because the designs you sketch now will be fleshed out over the following year.

AQUARIUS.

(Jan. 20 – Feb. 17):

An agreement falls apart in the last minute, but it’s not over. Look for this to resurface (or appear in another guise) by mid September.

PISCES.

(Feb. 18 – March 19):

Someone from your past returns, but don’t assume that you’ll pick up where you left off. Things have changed. Enjoy being brought up to date.
