Daily horoscopes: August 16, 2018

ARIES.

(March 20 – April 19):

If you were answerable only to yourself then you would be free to act as you please.  However there are others’ views to consider so wait until everyone weighs in.

TAURUS.

(April 20 – May 20):

The same sore subject is raised at work, but don’t expect an automatic response. There’s a real desire to fix it this time.

GEMINI.

(May 21 – June 20):

Work may be intruding on your relationship or a relationship at work is getting you into trouble.  In any case you need to get your priorities straight pronto.

CANCER.

(June 21 – July 21):

Ornery types get on your nerves today but rise above it.  Exasperation only perpetuates the vicious cycle.

LEO.

(July 22 – Aug. 22):

It’s nice to know people are making future plans with you in mind, but don’t get ahead of the game.  Things are still in the drawing board stage.

VIRGO.

(Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):

You may have to forgive a debt in order to move on.  This is less expensive than trying to make someone pay up.

LIBRA.

(Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):

A partner may be floundering.  It’s a good idea to put out feelers and invite this person to talk. You’ll nip a growing problem in the bud.

SCORPIO.

(Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):

Your love of history comes in handy.  Research yields a wealth of information while casting a new light on some widely held assumptions.

SAGITTARIUS.

(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):

You’re convinced a certain person can’t do anything right.  But you’ll have to revisit that assumption when s/he comes up with a timely solution.

CAPRICORN.

(Dec. 21 – Jan. 19):

It’s always a good idea to consult the rulebook when Mars is in Capricorn. You’ll find just the clause you need to bring querulous types back into line.

AQUARIUS.

(Jan. 20 – Feb. 17):

You aren’t feeling too secure these days, but there are plenty of people around who are ready to boost your spirits.  All you need to do is ask.

PISCES.

(Feb. 18 – March 19):

There’s a limit to even your selflessness.  Abstain from any more personal sacrifices because there’s hardly anything left.
