You can try to get out of an obligation or you can fulfill it. Fulfill it. Not only will it be done with, you also score good karma points.
Your gain proves to be somebody else’s loss. Usually you’d give something back, but you can’t afford to be generous now. You can mend fences later.
You may be asked to represent the interests of the group but before you do make sure that you’re acting as their mouthpiece and not their scapegoat.
Don’t be too dispassionate when describing the dilemma you find yourself in or people won’t think you need their help.
Instead of begrudging a rival’s success, research how s/he made it happen. What worked for this person can work for you, too.
