Never assume that people aren’t interested. In fact an impromptu call to someone who appears aloof yields an unexpectedly warm response.
Give grabby types what they want. They haven’t a clue as to what’s actually at stake and will eagerly settle for less than they could get.
Things have changed and you need to reassess. Clearly you can’t move ahead as planned, but something passed over before could come in handy.
There’s no shame in changing your mind. You have every right to take something off the table if you want to, but better sooner than later.
You want to accommodate others, but they’re not being adaptable. Make life easy for everybody and go back to the original game plan.
Refrain from damage control. You want to let a misunderstanding run its course. The longer it plays out, the more compensation you get.
