Daily horoscopes: May 18, 2018

ARIES.

(March 20 – April 19):

So is everything OK now that a disagreement has been settled? No. But you also see how pointless it is to continue a dispute. That’s what makes a truce a truce.

TAURUS.

(April 20 – May 20):

Stare at a problem long enough and one of you will blink first. Thank goodness it will be the problem and not you.

GEMINI.

(May 21 – June 20):

Mistakes happen.  They’re also the only way that we live and learn.  Re-direct self-criticisms so that they empower rather than undermine you.

CANCER.

(June 21 – July 21):

Still another lead is dangled under your nose.  Make yourself pursue it. Yes, you’ve had a lot of false hopes lately, but this one is the real deal.

LEO.

(July 22 – Aug. 22):

You’re surprised to hear from a higher-up who wants your input on a weighty matter.  Evidently your reputation for sagacity is getting around.

VIRGO.

(Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):

This is not the time to stubbornly cling to an idea that failed to bear fruit.  Drop it and move on to something else that will.

LIBRA.

(Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):

You won’t get the “yes” you’ve been angling for, but you will get the next best thing.  This could turn out to be even better.

SCORPIO.

(Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):

You need to take responsibility for some of the peevish things you said lately.  They may have been understandable, but hardly justified. It’s that distinction that will keep you from undermining your own efforts.

SAGITTARIUS.

(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):

Filling out forms in triplicate isn’t your idea of fun, but it’s worth it considering what you stand to gain.

CAPRICORN.

(Dec. 21 – Jan. 19):

Even you can’t be in two places at once, so choose one appointment to keep and re-schedule the other.  You’ll be glad you did.

AQUARIUS.

(Jan. 20 – Feb. 17):

Compromise.  Your willingness to bend on a hotly contested matter will do a lot to win back trust and confidence.

PISCES.

(Feb. 18 – March 19):

Usually you’re right about hidden agendas, but now you’re reading too much into people’s actions.  Take things at face value.
