Take time off from the gym to enjoy the holiday. You can’t burn off the calories if you haven’t consumed them first.
(April 20 – May 20):
This would be a good time to extend the olive branch. You don’t have to kiss and make up, but a little peace on earth couldn’t hurt.
(May 21 – June 20):
Put down the mobile device and spend time with family and friends. It’s what this day is all about.
(June 21 – July 21):
Some presents are hits and some presents are misses. That’s why God invented gift receipts.
(July 22 – Aug. 22):
You can’t solve loved ones’ problems but you can provide a space where they can gather and enjoy each other’s company. We all need our havens on earth.
(Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):
Opening presents shouldn’t come with a running critique. A heartfelt thank-you and warm embrace is all that’s needed.
(Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):
You never give sensible gifts. It’s why everyone loves them. They’re always shamefully extravagant. You don’t do Black Fridays or Cyber Mondays.
(Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):
Once again you have to smile and nod diplomatically as you make your way through things you’ll never use or wear. Thank goodness you always shop for yourself ahead of time.
(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):
You have a lot to celebrate this year so don’t hold back. You’ve been through the mill and today’s the perfect occasion to do a victory dance.
(Dec. 21 – Jan. 19):
It’s hard to get into the holiday mood when there are so many things pressing on your mind. Give it your best shot anyway. You can always return to the worrying tomorrow.
(Jan. 20 – Feb. 17):
Being surrounded by friends and acquaintances is your idea of a perfect holiday. And if you can work in a dysfunctional family member or two then that’s OK too.
(Feb. 18 – March 19):
2017 wasn’t easy, but you learned a lot about yourself. You can use these experiences and insights to make 2018 one of the best years ever!
