Daily horoscopes: April 16, 2018

ARIES.

(March 20 – April 19):

You’re not too thrilled with coming in second place, but you know what they say about number two?  Accept this as a challenge to try harder.

TAURUS.

(April 20 – May 20):

If you’re going to give in, then do it graciously.  This presents a golden opportunity to gain sympathy for your position.

GEMINI.

(May 21 – June 20):

Don’t try to win approval first.  You won’t get anywhere.  Pursue what you want discreetly (what people don’t know won’t hurt them) and you gain support.

CANCER.

(June 21 – July 21):

Let your good work speak for itself.  Not only does it set a shining example, but it will shame colleagues so that they never question you again.

LEO.

(July 22 – Aug. 22):

At one time standing on principle made sense.  Now it hinders more than inspires.  Step down off the soapbox and you get things moving again.

VIRGO.

(Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):

You know that a bird in hand is better than two in the bush but what’s the harm in taking a peek?  You can always say you were checking out your market value.

LIBRA.

(Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):

Your greatest resources are the people in your life.  Ask around for advice.  If one doesn’t have the answer, another will.

SCORPIO.

(Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):

How does a simple request become a headache, while a farfetched goal falls in easy reach?  Clearly the Universe is in a humorous mood.  Smile.

SAGITTARIUS.

(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):

Admitting someone was right is never easy – especially when you know he’ll gloat.  Be a good sport.  Not just anyone can be the bigger person.

CAPRICORN.

(Dec. 21 – Jan. 19):

You know you’re moving forward, but saying good-bye to the way things used to be still isn’t easy.  Nevertheless you’re on the right path.

AQUARIUS.

(Jan. 20 – Feb. 17):

You’re going to have to choose between two people.  Hemming and hawing only makes it worse.  Choose already.

PISCES.

(Feb. 18 – March 19):

You’re having a hard time making up your mind.  Are people being pushy or are you being wishy-washy? Passive resistance is still resistance.
