Don’t engage in a debate. You’re talking apples and the other person’s talking oranges. It would make for a nice fruit salad, but not today.
Now that a crisis is averted, you need to be more proactive about the future. Spinning from one fiasco to the next doesn’t cut it anymore.
You hate to let a conversation end on a bad note, but it’s OK. Feelings are hurt, but truths had to be shared and now people need time to digest them.
Don’t get impatient with people who take forever to make a point. Hurrying them along only makes them stop in mid-sentence.
A loved one is angry. Do the unexpected and make amends. The expression of shock on their face will be priceless.
Before you freak on that person who failed to disclose pertinent details, ask yourself why you were willing to suspend disbelief? Next time don’t look the other way.
