3 Date ideas you’ve never thought of

In every long-term relationship, there comes a point where you hit a rut. You go to the same places, do the same things and sometimes even have the same conversations over and over again. As much as you love your boo, you can be a little bored by your relationship. Well, I say don’t settle for the blahs. You’re extraordinary and so is your man. So, get your relationship back up to the extraordinary level by mixing it up a bit in the date department. And I know you’re going to say that you’re both so busy, you don’t have time to go on, let alone plan, an extravagant date. Well, screw extravagant! Here are three totally easy, everyday dates that you’ve never thought of. They’re different thae your typical date, but barely take any time!

Going to the doctor

I know what you’re thinking…how could this possibly be a date? But, I was at my dentist’s office the other day and saw an elderly couple who were being sweet with each other in the waiting room. It was really adorable. It got me thinking, this could be a date. I mean, I was in that waiting room for at least 45 minutes. Add in commute time, and you’ve got about an hour and a half of potential date time if you bring your boo. You two can actually have some peace and quiet together in that waiting room and really talk. It’s not conventional, but if you work it right, it could be a great way to squeeze a date into a normal day.

Pre-work date

Believe me, I know how careers can get in the way of romance time. My job sometimes feels like it’s 24-7 and I know my honey feels the same way. But, you have to do your best to carve out time to be with your significant other. Going on a quick date before work is the perfect way to do it. Wake up an hour earlier than you normally would and spend that time with your man. Maybe you can go for a walk, work out together, sit in Starbucks sipping coffee or even snuggle up and watch your favorite show together. Treat that time like a real date and it will be one.

Superstore

Here’s a two-birds-one-stone date idea. Take your man to Target or Wal-Mart with you when you have to run errands. But, don’t just run the errands. Have fun in store together. There are unlimited things you could do in the store. You could read greeting cards and try to find the funniest ones. Make puns out of DVD titles. Put on weird outfits. Buy weird snack food and sample it. Take an extra hour in the store to play around. It’ll be fun, new and totally kick the long-term blahs to the curb’

Hope that’s some helpful date inspiration. Let me know if you have any unexpected date ideas in the comments!
