You guys know Brandi Glanville, right? The gorgeous blonde in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with legs that make the Empire State Building feel stumpy? Well, I’m lucky enough to call Brandi my friend. We met a few years ago at a PR event and hit it off instantly. She’s charming and brash and passionate and I was in friend crush heaven the second I met her. She’s been through a lot, from her very public divorce to battling it out with the other housewives. That gal’s got a Teflon exterior and she’s ready to pounce if anyone hurts her or her boys. You absolutely cannot blame her, though!
I sat down with Ms. Brandi to talk about her new book Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance. I read the whole thing and it’s fan-freaking-tastic. Seriously, Brandi managed to capture everything that’s amazing about her in person and put it on the page. When you’re reading it, you’re going to feel like you’re her best friend. The woman has dated some very famous, very powerful and very hot men and isn’t afraid to kiss and tell. In our little interview together, I got some serious dish from Brandi and I’ve been dying to share it with you. So, here’s what she told me…
Exactly how Brandi lures in men
Brandi dates the cream of the crop in Beverly Hills. So, I asked her how she does it. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to look like Brandi does. I mean, she’s an eleven! But, Brandi had some tips every girl can use. “You know, for me, eye contact is key…Giving them that look a little second too long and then you look down.” I mean, is that the five-second-flirt or what? It works for everyone! She had some more, “Body language is a big deal too. So, if you’re thinking about sex in your head, and you’re like arching your back…” She let that trail off, but I think we all know where that’s going. If you’re putting out the sexy, you’re going to get the sexy back.
What her third book is going to be about
Brandi’s already thinking about her next book. Thank god! I can’t effing wait to read it. She told me exactly what she’s thinking about for her next topic. “I want to do something about social media because…it turned into this horrible crazy place. And I’m wondering, would we all not be a little happier if we weren’t constantly obsessed?” I totally relate to that. Social media is such an important part of my life and it’s how I get to communicate with my fans, which is amazing. But, sometimes I feel like I’m not as in the present moment because of it. Brandi feels the exact same thing. “Every time I’m at a dinner and everyone’s looking down at their phone and posting pictures. Let’s engage together!” Her next book is going to tackle how to balance social media with having a real in person life. I’m going to pre-order a copy as soon as I can. So useful!
She dated two of the biggest stars of Friends
Brandi has a long list of super hot old flames that are pretty big deal people and it turns out, she dated two of the biggest names on Friends, but only got serious with one of them. She gave this guy the pseudonym of Andrew in the book. Well, I asked for some specifics and she told me who he was. I can’t say his name, but let’s just say if you know Brandi’s type—tall, successful, Jewish, powerful—you might be able to guess. She dated him at the height of his fame, which actually wasn’t all it cracked up to be. “All the girls were throwing themselves at him,” she told me. Basically, she felt like he was doing her a favor by dating her and she never wants to feel like that again. “I don’t want to date any actor ever,” she told me. She wants to be the one to be adored. And she’s right. Every woman deserves to be adored, even if she’s dating one of the hottest celebrities in Hollywood. Oh, also, she told me the Friends star she didn’t get serious with was actually the better kisser. Can you guess who it is?
How juicy was that info? Brandi always has amazing stories to tell. Definitely check out Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance. If Brandi’s single next year, hopefully I’ll get to set her up on Millionaire Matchmaker. Wouldn’t you love to see that?
