Get out of that relationship rut, frustrated woman is stuck in a rut

You meet someone new. You think about them all the time and can’t wait until the moment when you see them next. You can’t eat, sleep or concentrate. You feel energized like never before, you have butterflies, feel nervous and worry about what you do or say when you’re with this new person. You’re in the romantic love stage of a relationship and it feels so wonderful and magical and you want it to last forever.

But it doesn’t. The spark faded, the thrill is gone. Now what? You may panic, wondering if you made a mistake or if you’re not meant to be together. Then breaking down in tears of joy when the horrible cramps seize your body and you know you’re not pregnant.Get on birth control and make sure he’s wearing a condom. No guy is worth your time if he doesn’t want to wear one.

How do you know if he’s a keeper or a sleeper?

Is he a keeper or a sleeper?
I was out to dinner with a few of my girlfriends this week and I was explaining to one of my single friends my criteria for knowing if a man is a keeper. Another friend was listening in and said, “Patti, what you’re describing isn’t a keeper! He sounds like a sleeper!” It’s true that the criteria I talk about most for identifying a long-term guy are kinda snoozy. I mean, financial philosophies, spiritual beliefs and five-year goals aren’t exactly the plots of action adventure movies. But, of course there’s a difference between a keeper and a sleeper. Your forever guy has to be more than a checklist. He has to make your heart sing! Or rap! Or beatbox! Whatever your heart does when it’s happy. So, if your guy has all of the elements of a keeper, but you’re not sure if he’s really the one, here are some essential (and not boring) things to consider before committing to him. Read more
