Summer, summer, summertime! It’s summer! WHO-HOO! Even for a California girl like me, summer is a fun season. It’s not just about great weather, which I get all the time here in Los Angeles. Maybe it’s leftover from school break, but summer feels a bit more free than other times of the year. Summer’s about prioritizing fun, making the most of your weekends and travel. Why the third date is the most important date

Most of my single girlfriends get really nervous for first dates. And of course that’s understandable. First dates can be mega stressful. But, they’re actually not that important in the scheme of things. If a first date goes badly, there’s nothing on the line. Sure, you’ve wasted your time, but there’s not a ton of emotion that you’ve invested into this person. You can walk away completely unscathed. But then he told me, "Anita, just for fun sometimes I change my height to 6 feet, and then my inbox gets flooded with messages." Several of my male clients are on dating app and mention that of the first questions that women ask them is their height. When they say they're 5'9" or 5'8", they don't hear from them again. The average height for men is 5'9"! Read more

5 healthy, romantic meals to cook on a date

I always jokingly refer to the first time a man comes over for a home cooked meal as my "wife audition." It just feels like I'm in a reality competition to prove that I have what it takes to be the woman he wants. It's a lot of pressure! No man has ever left me based on my food, but I do think some men have fallen for me a little more because of my cooking. Read more

Is Not Having Time to Date a Legit Excuse?

Common questions and comments all single people get are, "well are you seeing anyone special?", "are you dating around?" and our favorite, "Oh… you must have such an exciting dating life.". We could be wrong here, but for most, the first question that comes to mind is, who has time to actively date anymore? As girls in this exact demographic, trust us, we are aware of how crazy busy our schedules are. The time constraints are UNREAL. However, we want to argue that the excuse of not having time to date is actually BS. There is time to date, if you make time to date. That little italicized part right there is the key to this whole equation. Read more
