Hot mama: Keeping the romance alive while you’re pregnant

Keeping the romance alive during pregnancyMaybe I haven’t carried a baby for nine months, but I know it’s important to keep things hot between you and him whether you’ve just starting dating or you’re married and carrying ten pounds of baby weight. Let’s face it, your body is curvy and hot and there’s no reason you shouldn’t get more bang for buck during your pregnancy.

My two cents? Your curves deserve lingerie right now.

Don’t go drab

There’s more of you to love and your husband should see that as a good thing. Your body has changed. You have filled out and, undoubtedly, your boobs are larger. Let this be an asset to you and accentuate what your mama gave ya. In this case, it’s what your baby gave ya!

A low-cut dress that reveals your new cleavage never fails to attract a man’s eye. Buy a few hot pieces to wear around him — a gorgeous dress or tank top that reveal the parts of your body that you find attractive. Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you’ve got to dress in drab or unflattering maternity clothes. Don’t underestimate the power of a nightgown made of lace.

Dress to impress

It’s hard to do when you’re feeling dowdy inside, but take a cue from celebrity moms like Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson and Beyoncé: Dress stylish! If you dress fierce, it will give you a confidence boost. Looking good on the outside can make you feel sexy and confident on the inside and that is going to catch your man’s attention. He won’t be able to resist. If you’re comfortable wearing heels, don’t be afraid to throw a pair on… and leave them on when you take things to the bedroom, too.

Curb your discomfort

While you may be tired or feeling run down, make it a point to have date nights with your man, even if it’s just the two of you cozying up on the couch and watching a movie. This one-on-one time will keep the two of you bonded. Don’t forget to flirt with him all the time. Little notes, gestures and tokens of affection will keep the romance alive for you both. Book a spa day complete with couples massages or a romantic getaway to a chic hotel. He’ll feel engaged and involved in your pregnancy and you’ll keep the temperature between you nice and hot.
