Daily horoscopes: August 18, 2017

ARIES.

(March 20 – April 19):

A recreational pastime becomes a more serious pursuit.  It could translate to a moneymaking venture if you like.

TAURUS.

(April 20 – May 20):

When opinion is divided (like it is), any choice where you win half the support is better than nothing.

GEMINI.

(May 21 – June 20):

You get an exciting offer.  Unfortunately you’re already spoken for.  Ask nicely and a certain someone may let you out of your obligation.

CANCER.

(June 21 – July 21):

Change isn’t easy, but be proactive.  It’s better to be behind the wheel than a backseat driver.  This way you control the pace of events.

LEO.

(July 22 – Aug. 22):

For weeks you hoped someone would get his comeuppance.  And now that the moment arrives, you’re not happy about it.  Sympathy overrides revenge.

VIRGO.

(Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):

You know you should have copped to the mistake earlier, but were afraid. The current planetary alignment shows that people will be forgiving. Remember this when sitting in judgment of others.

LIBRA.

(Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):

You can tell someone has stronger opinions than they profess. Be conversational rather than confrontational and they’ll surface.

SCORPIO.

(Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):

You’ve been back and forth so many times you’re about fed up.  Don’t let irritation show.  Someone you’ve been courting is close to signing.

SAGITTARIUS.

(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):

As a fire sign you always look to the future.  That’s why obsessing over the past gets you nowhere.  Let bygones be bygones.  Move on.

CAPRICORN.

(Dec. 21 – Jan. 19):

What’s old is new again as the Moon squares Jupiter.  After months of “been there done that” it’s nice to have a fresh take on things.

AQUARIUS.

(Jan. 20 – Feb. 17):

You suspected there’d be changes in the upper echelons.  Now it looks like they’ll be far more dramatic.  Adopt a wait-and-see position.

PISCES.

(Feb. 18 – March 19):

Usually you’re the one to back down, but this time hold your ground.  A superior or client is out of line and you should call him on it.
