#AskPatti: Sober dating, taking my services to Europe, the best millionaires & more!

Hello again, my tweeties. I hope that you’re all doing super well. East Coasters, are you hanging in there? It sounds like you all can’t catch a weather break. Here in LA, it’s boiling. I’m heading to the pool as soon as I wrap up writing this. It’s perfect sun and fun weather! (Sorry to brag, but I’m actually not sorry. Move out here! Seriously, I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t live in California.) Anyway, let’s dive into these questions so I can dive into the pool!

I don’t think you need tough advice, hun. You did the tough part. Being sober for a year is a huge, huge, huge accomplishment. I hope you’re very proud of yourself. As for sober dating, it’s not as hard as some people make it out to be. First of all, every single date should be somewhat sober. That’s why I have a two drink maximum. Bad choices start when the third drink gets poured. Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about that. My tips for you would be to meet guys places where booze isn’t served—comic book stores, trade shows, over the vinyl bin at garage sales—and be open about your sobriety from the first date. No need to get personal with stories of whatever happened before you got sober. But, you should let him know that you’re not a drinker. Aside from that, dating sober is not really different from dating with two drinks in you.
Only time will tell!
Oh my gosh. That would be a dream! Helping people find love in Paris would be unreal. Plus, that would mean that I’d get invited to weddings in France! I can’t even tell you how excited I’d be for that! Bravo, let’s make it happen!
It’s not a particular person, it’s a particular personality type. I love millionaires who come to be with no ‘tude and an open mind. I love when they’re open to my suggestions and totally willing to do what it takes to find love. It’s so frustrating when someone’s willing to pay a lot of money for your services, but won’t even go along with a simple makeover. Why fork over the money if you don’t want me to do my job? I never get that! But, with an open-minded client, the sky’s the limit in terms of success.

Alright, I’m off to the pool. I hope you all have fab weeks! Kisses!
