Fall is a wonderful time to be in love. Really though, when isn’t? But, I particularly love fall romance because there’s this ticking clock on the good weather. You feel like you have to do every possible outdoor activities one last time before Old Man Winter really sets in. Here are my favorite fall dates that I think you need to do with your man before fall is over.

Apple Picking

Been on Facebook lately? Then you’ve probably seen hundreds of pictures of apple picking. I know it’s not an original idea, but it’s just so fun that I don’t care if I’m one of the apple orchard masses. Get in a car, get out of you city or town and head to the nearest apple orchard. It’s such an amazing way to spend the day. You’ll have fun on the road trip, get in a little work out with the walking and have a bunch of apples that taste better than anything you can buy in a grocery store by the end of the day. Double points if you turn this into an overnighter and sleep in a cute B&B!

Pumpkin Carving

I’m probably the world’s biggest fan of the at-home date. I just love a romantic night in that’s a bit more special than watching TV and munching on frozen dinners. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I’ve certainly had many nights like that. I just wouldn’t call them dates.) Pick up a pumpkin or two on your next grocery run and voila! You have an instant date. You can get a bit fancier and get some of those pumpkin carving stencils, if your boo and you are crafty or stick to the basic eyes, nose and creepy smile mouth. Either way, it’ll be a fun (and very inexpensive) date night at home.

Fire Gazing

Is there anything hotter than watching your man build a fire? I really don’t think so. Get some firewood, cider and the fixings for s’mores and you have yourself an instant fall date. And if your man isn’t the nature-y time, get one of those instant logs and it’s the same exact effect!

Haunted House

I know this idea might not be for everybody, but getting the adrenaline flowing on a date is such a good idea…and leads to really good sex that night! (Just sayin’!) I especially love this idea if you’re in the early stages of couple-hood because clinging on to him for dear life is such a good excuse to get touchy feely without feeling like you’re making the first move!

Harvest Dinner Party

Fall food is the best! It straddles the line of healthy eats and comfort food perfectly. Turn your date night into a group date dinner party by inviting all of your favorite people to bring their fall special dishes over to your house. Spend the day prepping with your honey and the night schmoozing with your favorite people over pumpkin goodies. It doesn’t get any better than that!

Get on it, my loves! Winter’s going to be here before you know it!
